I have a PS2 Slim-version...
It has been with me for about 3-4 years. 1 or 2 years ago it started to shut down after I played it. ( GODDAMNIT! ) I unplugged it, let it wait, and soon it worked. It repeats the same action again and again. I vacuumed it from the rear-hole-thingy, and it still doesn't work. help! |

I also have a PS2 Slim version and it is still fully functional after 4 years of abuse. I haven't face any problems with mines so sorry there, buddy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I don't think I can be of any help.

Hmm...it sounds like either an error w/ the software or overheating issues. I'd call sony about it.
