Update Thursday, August 28th Options

Not really an update, but I felt like this section of the forum was severely lacking activity (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

So basically, the admins have been planning all summer in secret and we've pretty much set up an elaborate scheme to revive the forum and set it on a path of success.

Ahaha, I wish. Actually, we've been talking about making some changes soon. It'll probably include a layout change as well as a huge modification to the boards and the way the forum works. We've tried similar things in the past (although not quite as big) and they've all been temporary successful...but what we're looking for this time is a long term activity boost, rather than a short term.

Just to let you guys in on a little bit, it's highly likely that the forum will focus on ONE anime series, rather than anime in general, as it appears that the topic is STILL too broad. We'll offer torrent links, episode discussions, theory crafting, and direct downloads. One thing of concern is that many members right now don't watch the same series (except for bleach/naruto, which have TONS of forums already...), so it's possible you guys won't have seen the anime series we choose (it's okay - series tend to be easy to catch up on; provided there's time, and we'll offer direct downloads/torrents, which will make it a ton easier to get access)

I suppose now would be the time to speak up if there's an anime series anyone recommends. It has to be an ongoing series, and preferably one that doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon. Should be something that can really be discussed.

Well the only anime I know that don't seem to look like it'd going to end any time soon are..
One Piece, Bleach, Naruto.

...There's a new Fullmetal Alchemist anime series coming out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) but that's not til April. But I don't even know if anyone will sub it. and if anyone was to, I wouldn't know who they were.

Hmm...I guess we could still do D. Gray Man, but we'd only be doing the manga...which is probably not going to be enough.

The Fullmetal Alchemist series seems like a good idea, even though it's in April. Someone will definitely sub it...they always do, especially for series as good as FMA (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . I think we'll probably leave that as a backup in case we can't think of anything by then.
